WE refer to an article captioned: “Saint Cuthbert’s Toshao thankful for village improvement” written by Chevon Singh and published in the daily Chronicle newspaper dated Tuesday, September 27, 2011, in which the Toshao of St. Cuthbert’s Mission, Earnest Dundas, lauded the Government for the tremendous improvement they have bestowed on the community over the years.
We at Food for the Poor (FFP) also take the opportunity to congratulate the government for enhancing the livelihood of the village, but mention should have been made of the huge contribution our organisation generously donated to the residents of the community in 2005 with the construction of 40 houses, 40 sanitation blocks and shower enclosures and a community centre all to the value of $43M; thus making life very comfortable for the villagers.
Our entity helps to sustain the village with regular and timely distribution of a variety of items for their general use.
As a matter of fact, there will be a distribution in the village on Saturday, October 15, 2011.
FFP helped St. Cuthbert’s as well
