Fatal stabbing at Clonbrook…

Woman murder suspect arrested
A WOMAN is in police custody, assisting with the investigations into the stabbing death of a man at Clonbrook, East Coast Demerara last Saturday.
Dead is Sheriff Balmacoon, 38, of Station Street, Clonbrook. He was reportedly stabbed by a woman at Section ‘B’ Clonbrook around 21:00 hrs on the ill-fated evening, and was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival, a police report said.
Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested at about 7:00 hrs on Sunday, at the Oil Mill Road at Cove and John, also on the East Coast Demerara, and was taken into custody.
A post-mortem examination was yesterday performed on the body of Balmacoon by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh who gave the cause of death as haemorrhage and shock due to stab wound.
