More street lights being installed along Essequibo Coast

THE Government, through the regional administration in Region 2 (Pomeroon/Supenaam), is installing more street lights along the Essequibo Coast Public Road.
Regional Chairman, Mr. Ali Baksh said the project is being executed in phases and the contractor, Cummings Electrical Company is, currently, erecting poles along the roadway between Henrietta and Walton Hall.

He said poles are also being installed from Johanna Cecelia to Suddie and Good Hope to Supenaam, where the new ferry stelling is located.
Baksh said, in the first phase, street lights were put between Henrietta and Bush Lot, the commercial centre of the Anna Regina township.
In the second phase the installation was from Reliance to Taymouth Manor.
According to Baksh, Queenstown Village will also benefit and Essequibians are very thankful to Government for the lights, which are part of the massive development drive in the region.
