RAMNARINE Chattergoon struck an unbeaten half-century then returned to take two wickets, as Albion marched into the last eight of the inaugural Kares Engineering and Bushy Park Sawmills-sponsored, nationwide 10/10 tapeball tournament, yesterday, with a 58-run victory over Unity/Lancaster Combined. J.C Chandisingh Secondary also recorded a victory in their male schools fixture against Line Path Secondary while there were walkover victories for New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) and Sans Souci Secondary, whose respective opponents Abrams Creek Secondary and Vryman’s Ervin Secondary did not show up.

Ramnarine Chattergoon later struck four fours and two sixes in his innings and, along with Hemendra Ramdhial who struck two sixes and a similar number of fours in his unbeaten 33, added an unbroken 88-run partnership for the third wicket with Ramnarine Chattergoon.
Elvis Jones and Keith Saroop took one wicket each for Unity/Lancaster Combined, whose top score of 16 was made by Devanand Mangal and included two fours and one six, as their batsmen failed to negotiate the bowling of Ramnarine Chattergoon, Veerasammy Permaul and Narsingh Deonarine.
Line Path Secondary were asked to take first strike by their opponents who vindicated such by bowling them out for a paltry 37 from 9.2 overs, with Ganesh Ramdhial top-scoring with 12.
