TEAM Sammy comprising of Edmund Sammy, Ron Callender, Martin Premaul, Gary Jansen, Frederick Halley and Orin Boston took top honours on Wednesday last when dominoes enthusiast Manniram ‘Packer’ Shew brought together International 6, Strikers and F&H Supremes to have a mixed team dominoes match. The 18 members were placed in a bag and were picked out at random as the three captains namely Colin Hicken (H6), Intikab Alli (A6) and Edmund Sammy (S6) spearheaded the members under their charge.
The members of the teams for H6 were Robert ‘Pacer’ Adonis, Sonia Goodluck, Hugh Gordon, Safraz Ali and Wayne Austin while the members of A6 comprised Manniram ‘Packer’ Shew, Navin Samaroo, Charles Dopson, Roderick Harry and Hilbert Ali.
The recipients of medals were Frederick Halley, Gary Jansen and Ron Callender for the winning team, Roderick Harry and Hilbert Ali as top players for the second-placed team, and Pacer Adonis who made the maximum 18 games in a losing cause for his team.
There was one lovebird as Sonia Goodluck was taken down lovers’ lane by Frederick Halley.
