KAIETEUR News allowed Asquith Rose to attack me but has not afforded me a response.  Rose (who claimed some time ago that he teaches a political methodology course at a prestigious university), reprimanded me for not providing evidence on several claims on rape, Freddie Kissoon,  Rose, academic quacks,  are incorrect.
Sufficient evidence has been presented to substantiate all of my claims.
It is in fact Rose who has failed to provide evidence to support his contentions. His letter raises curious questions about his academic credentials.

Rose claims that I present misinformation to the public but has not identified any because there is none.  I have never claimed to be a lawyer or an expert on Guyana’s laws (and Rose will not be able to cite where I made such a claim because it does not exist).

I studied American constitutional law and read a lot about Commonwealth court cases.  This does not make me an expert. When I stated that Kissoon will fail to prove Jagdeo is a racist in the libel case, I cited the Panday vs. Gordon case in Trinidad – that is evidence (is not so Rose) that Panday lost.

I repeatedly showed in earlier commentaries that Kissoon has a penchant for lies and distortions.  It clearly shows that Rose has not been reading the media or reads and understands selectively,  just like Kissoon.

Rose calls me a propagandist for the Jagdeo/Ramotar  PPP. I never once asked anyone to vote for the PPP, not during the (PNC) dictatorship or before or after it.  But nearly all of Rose’s letters appeal to the public to support the PNC and now the AFC.

That is not propaganda and this guy teaches at a university ?  I wonder what he teaches students?  Just examine the contents of Rose’s letter and[one will find] it is replete with PNC propaganda.

Rose  says my polls are bogus.  Can he cite how and why they are fairy tales and are concocted and the reasons why they are not reflective of the political mood of the population?  Are there other polls that contradict the findings?
Rose queries whether I believe Jagdeo is non-racial.  I did a poll in which people said Jagdeo is non-racial.  What I believe is inconsequential.  Since Rose claims he teaches polling at a prestigious university in America, he ought to know the pollster’s view does not matter.

That is conclusive proof he is a quack. How does Rose know Afro-Guyanese don’t see Jagdeo in a positive light? That finding can only be obtained from a poll. How do pollsters find out that Whites don’t view Obama positively? They get the findings from a poll.

So if Rose knows about polling, he won’t conclude that Jagdeo is not seen positively by Africans.  But I am willing to accompany Rose (providing he covers all costs) to question Africans at random all over Guyana to determine Jagdeo’s approval numbers and  how well he is liked among Africans.

Rose claims that the findings of the polls are manufactured.  Then simply present the evidence.  Don’t grand charge and grandstand.  Give us the proof. Rose is like an empty vessel making the most noise.

Rose claims “the Jagdeo regime has marginalised Afro-Guyanese”.  Show us how!  There are public laws that allow for groups and citizens to take a government to court against ethnic marginalisation.  Please file a lawsuit with the evidence and I will wholeheartedly support you.

Rose asked me to provide the evidence that the PNC killed Dr. Rodney, Vincent Teekah, Father Darke, etc.  Is this guy for real? Where has he been living? The evidence has been repeatedly presented in the media. Does this guy really teach at a prestigious university?

Rose wants me to present the evidence (of names of people who were raped) and the doctors who treated the rape victims.  This guy lives in America and he has never heard of doctor-patient confidentiality or journalist-source confidentiality. Whew! Phew! Wow! God help us please from Rose and his parties!
I cited the names of people who were raped at National Service that we know are in the public domain – Mahadai Das, Ms. Luck.  Gora Singh admitted he knew of Indians who were raped. This is not skirting the issue. Rose simply does not understand ethics, morals, laws, etc.
So clearly, Rose is moronic.
I don’t know who was involved in the murders Rose mentioned.  I did not study them. If I should, I will present the information to the public.  Since he knows, he should inform us.  That will remove the necessity for me to study them.

It is standard journalism that the media must verify information before printing it.  Obviously Rose does not know this basic tenet of journalism and that is not surprising given my expose of the nonsense he penned. If the media had asked the FIA to verify Harripaul’s claim that President Jagdeo requested an invitation, Harripaul’s propaganda would have been debunked.

I conclude by urging Rose not to engage in anti-Bisram propaganda and to be honest and truthful about his commentaries.

I recall sometime ago in KN, Rose claimed that persons who plead guilty in a court matter are actually guilty of the crime as charged, otherwise they would not have pleaded guilty.

That reveals his academic limitations and academic malpractice as some commented about.

Just be careful Rose about your claims and comments! Millions plead guilty when they are innocent because it is an easy way out of the complex criminal system that is stacked against Hispanics,  African- Americans and other minorities in America who have been victims of discrimination.
