QUBERT Crandon, 33, appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday on a simple larceny charge. The miner pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on August 15, in Georgetown, he stole a motor pump valued $60,000, property of Winston Smith.
Police Sergeant Lionel Harvey, prosecuting, had no objection to bail but requested it be in a substantial amount and it was fixed at $25,000 and the case has been transferred to another court for November 3.
