SEBRAE team to meet Corentyne Chamber of Commerce

THE Corentyne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will tomorrow host the eleven member team of members of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Development Organization (SEBRAE) currently on a trade integration mission to Guyana. President of the Chamber, Vishnu Doerga, said this is
an exchange visit, as many members of the CCCI had visited Brazil and interacted with members of SEBRAE during an entrepreneurial trade fair in Boa Vista in November last.
The two groups are expected to have intense discussions on the strengthening of trade links and other issues within the framework of a general thrust towards a Guyana/Brazil Private Sector Integration project.

THE Guyana/Brazil Private Sector Integration Project was formally launched Friday at Duke Lodge in the city.
The project aims at business integration between the major private sector business support organizations in Guyana and SEBRAE.
The Brazilian organizations have been entrusted by the Government of Brazil to promote clear and viable business development and support programmes for the establishment, sustenance and growth of small and micro entrepreneurs both in Brazil and in neighbouring countries such
as Guyana.
The objectives of the integration project have been identified as strengthening export sales through enhanced production of goods and services generating employment and assisting the northern states of Brazil, as well as Guyana, in identifying and developing specific
products and services with the highest potential for market development and export sales within each other’s markets, within the Caribbean Region and elsewhere.
