Immigration officer posted to Barbados to address consular matters

THE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised that an officer from the Central Immigration and Passport Office will travel to Barbados this week to conduct consular duties for Guyanese nationals living there.
The ongoing arrangement is in place to fill the void created with the death of the previous officer, the late Norman Faria, and until such time that a new consular officer is appointed.
According to a release from the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Inspector Tyrone Chapman will “conduct duties in the small conference room at the Amaryllis Beach Resort in the Garrison Historical Area, Palm Beach, Hastings, Christ Church from Monday, July 25 to Saturday, July 30.
The local immigration official will render his services from 08:00hrs to 1700hrs daily.
