I do sympathise with Mohamed Z. Rahaman, as he feels a sense of desecration concerning a ‘patent’ on what may be now deemed, the ‘stolen symbol.’ The ‘open hand’ emblem which APNU is using is therefore not original. In fact, this further enlightenment, from a DLM member, serves to further expose APNU. I would not comment on the importance of emblems, meanings and importance. I think no sane person will ever try to make light of this most important facet in ‘name and symbol.’ Just watch baseball, basketball and cricket etc. In fact, stealing symbols and names is a very litigious matter. However, what bothers me are the obscurity, secrecy and dishonesty in this APNU phenomenon. This surreptitious act, of hijacking an emblem, befits APNU. For what is APNU?
APNU is really just the faзade. It is a convenient veneer of the unsuspecting. However, APNU is really PNC-B, PNC, and PN whatever. The players are the same and the game is the same too. Look how assiduously APNU sought to disenfranchise the Guyanese, by its desire not to re-open the Claims and Objections period. This is an example of the ‘leopard not being able to change its spots.’ Albeit it has ‘lost its teeth.’ So I hope that APNU do the just and better thing. It needs to find its own tag.
