A 62-year-old man was late yesterday a patient in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), suffering severe head injuries after being struck down by a motor car at the corner of D’Urban and John Streets, Wortmanville.

The victim, Eustace Rodrigues, a pensioner of East Ruimveldt was reportedly riding his pedal cycle when he was struck down by the motor car.

The police are investigating.
