Mahadeo is expected to be laid to rest today.
The man’s wife, Indrawattie Roberts, 36, told the Guyana Chronicle that about 08:00hrs on Tuesday she had already returned from the city where the engine was fitted with a new part and it was then her husband went out for a test run.
It is believed that Mahadeo encountered difficulties and the boat capsized.
He had been a fisherman for about eight years, since his return to Guyana from neighbouring Venezuela.
