Region Ten residents to receive land titles

-as Cabinet endorses proposal by Housing Ministry
HEAD of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon said Government has moved to fulfill a promise made to residents of Linden during a recent outreach to the mining town and has examined a proposal by the Ministry of Housing and Water where land titles will be allotted to residents.
“Cabinet endorsed and accepted the recommendation which essentially would regularize 400-odd residents in the mining areas. Specifically, the regularisation would see passing of titles to the 400-plus residential occupiers of land,” Luncheon told reporters.
The titles, which will be given to residents of Coomacka Mines, Nottinghamshire, Speightland and Industrial area, will be conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Water through a collaborative effort with the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA).
