Defendant in other burglary case granted bail

CLEON Simon (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on a break and enter and larceny charge, to which he pleaded not guilty. It was alleged that, between May 7 and 8, he broke and entered the apartment of Mark Waldron and stole five jerseys and a Guyana passport issued to Vibert Roberts.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, said the defendant denied knowledge of the burglary and the virtual complainant handed him over to the police.
Simon was put on $25,000 bail and has to make his next appearance tomorrow, in another court to which the case has been transferred.
