Woman in trio charged with $11.2M burglary

TWO men and a woman appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday on a joint break and enter and larceny charge. Kevin Harris, 33 and Alicia Griffith, 34, of Lot 103 Regent Street and Bobby Moore, 36, of Lot 14 Norton Street, Lodge, also in Georgetown, were not required to plead to the indictable charge, which said, between April 17 and 18, they broke and entered the store of Xu-Quian and stole 30 wigs valued $73,500 and ladies handbags worth $193,000 in booty with a total value of $11.2M.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, requested substantial bail for the trio and the Court ordered each accused to post $80,000 each until June 9.
