TWO larceny accused were both refused bail yesterday by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton. One of the remand prisoners, Rameshwar Tiwarie (no address given) was not required to plead to the indictable charge that alleged he stole $63,000 from Matthew Morion on April 22.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, who objected to pre-trial freedom for the accused said he gave two different addresses and is not likely to return for trial.
His case was put off to June 9.
The other prisoner on remand, Kevin Gordon, 22, of Lot 232 Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, is also charged, indictably, with having stolen $150,000 from his grandfather, Huburn Gordon, between April 22 and 24.
He has to be back in Court on April 29.
