I RECENTLY read in the media that two school girls, ages 11 and 13, were found to be pregnant.

20 years ago, news such as this would have shocked the people of this country but today, the people are so used to this form of behaviour that they take it as normal.

Yet, we all agree that people do not send their children to school to indulge in these forms of activities.

All the religious leaders I spoke to were very firm in their opinion that we should put a stop to all forms of immoral behaviour among young people in schools or else we will soon be a country of people who do not know how to behave as good, respectable and god-fearing citizens.

They are also of the opinion that we should re-introduce religious education as a subject in the school curriculum.

Education is developing the whole personality of the child, not only the academic side of him or her.
