MANI Kamtan Moti was granted $15,000 bail yesterday, when he appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus, at Leonora Court, charged with using threatening language to his mother, Sahadar Moti.
He pleaded not guilty to the April 2 offence allegedly committed at Leonora Parafield, also on West Coast Demerara.
Police Sergeant Sherwin Matthews, prosecuting, said the defendant returned home under the influence of alcohol and used a series of indecent words to the virtual complainant.
However, the son claimed that he became annoyed after calling to be let into the house and receiving no reply.
He is to make another court appearance on June 20.
