PYARG undertaking exchange programme with T&T counterpart

THE President’s Youth Award: Republic of Guyana (PYARG), in collaboration with the President’s Award of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T, will host a pre-adventurous journey and residential project in Tunapuna, Trinidad, from April 16 to 26. PYARG Field Assistant Officer in Essequibo, Mr. Herald Alves said a contingent of 60 from Guyana will participate in the 10-day programme.
He said five will be selected from Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), mainly from the Charity Secondary School and Anna Regina Multilateral School units.
Alves said the exchange event will give youths an opportunity to learn more about each other’s country and build a lasting relationship that would help develop the PYARG.
According to him, the youths will trek in the areas of Lady Chancellor, La Laures, Peria Bay and Madamas Bay and also be involved in campfires, residential projects, building shelters and finding wind direction.
Alves said the participants are to attend church services, go sightseeing, touring and shopping.
