Bladen Hall creditor rained blows on debtor

SOOKDEO Dharamraj decided to exercise a ‘no tolerance’ approach to his debtor by allegedly wounding him over an old debt.

Magistrate Shurdel Isaacs-Marcus, sitting at the Vigilance Magistrate’s court, East Coast Demerara, heard that the defendant who resides at 34 Bladen Hall, East Coast Demerara, maliciously wounded Dookram Jairam on March 7, 2011.

The assault came after an argument erupted between the two over an old debt, which subsequently led to a gruesome fight between the men.

Police Prosecutor Graham had no objection to bail, and Magistrate Isaac-Marcus allowed Dharamraj to post $40,000 to secure his pre-trial liberty.
