The Parent-Teachers Association of Queen’s College yesterday held the drawing of its grand fund-raising raffle in the auditorium of the school.
There the first to fifth place winners and ten consolation prizes winners were drawn from the rotisserie. The lucky names were pulled by students and teachers.
The first prize is a notebook computer; second prize a pair of his and hers Citizen watches from King’s Jewellery World; third prize a cell phone; fourth prize a day trip for two to Baganara Resort; and the fifth prize  three months of free internet service from Guyananet.
Representative of the PTA, Sonia Roberts, said the aim of the raffle is to garner funds to promote sports and culture at the college.
She added that the money would be used to pay air travel for students to go overseas to participate in sporting events, among other things.
