POLICE took two men into custody, on Wednesday, following an unlicensed gun find.
It happened about 09:45 hrs when ranks on mobile anti-crime patrol stopped and searched motor car HB 7527 in Station Street, Kitty, Goergetown and found the .32 ‘Taurus’ revolver with six matching rounds.
The detained men are assisting with further investigations.
Meanwhile, police are hunting three men, who robbed four persons at Diamond, on Wednesday, too.
A release said, about 02:30 hrs, Zamal Mohamed, Bibi Kadir and Tazeena Ali, all of Diamond and taxi driver Aakash Roopnarine, of Friendship, also on East Bank Demerara, were attacked by three gunmen.
Mohamed, Kadir and Ali were disembarking, at their residence, from a motor vehicle driven by Roopnarine, when the bandits held all four of them at gunpoint and relieved them of a total of US$8,700, TT$5,400, jewellery and three cell phones, with which they escaped in a waiting car.
