Missing ‘congo pump’ leaves get vendors six months bond

A BRAWL over missing ‘congo pump’ leaves,[ a medicinal plant ],  ended with two market vendors appearing before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo on separate charges of assault. They informed the Magistrate in the New Amsterdam Court  that they did not wish to offer any evidence against each other. However, they were placed on a bond to keep the peace for six months .Failure to comply with the Court’s order, the women will face a three week imprisonment.
On January 18 last, Victoria Bourne asked Satyawattie Holder to keep a plastic bag containing the leaves. However, the following day on requesting the dried plant , Bourne was told that it was thrown out of  Holder’s cupboard.
Consequently, Bourne became annoyed and dealt the unsuspecting vendor several slaps. She retaliated by inflicting several cuffs about her attacker’s body.
The matter was reported at the New Amsterdam market constabulary division, prior to being taken to Central Police Station where the charges were instituted.
