THE Indian Arrival Committee (IAC), in collaboration with the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) and the Muslim community will host its annual “Jashne-Meelaud-un-Nabi” in observance of Youman Nabi 2011. The event is scheduled for today at the Umana Yana in Kingston, Georgetown commencing at 18:00 hrs.

The programme includes Queesada renditions, recitation of Quranic verses, other related cultural presentations and messages from the IAC, GT&T, the Muslim Community and government officials.

In the past, Muslims from various parts have attended such events in which renowned singers from Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname participated. Last year, President Bharrat Jagdeo and other officials addressed the large gathering at the Theatre Guild.

The IAC extends an invitation for all to attend.
