Kudos to Burrowes for a good, solid article in the Chronicle

I am just writing to congratulate Chronicle’s columnist, Mr. Keith Burrowes, on the article published in yesterday’s Sunday  Chronicle newspaper, ‘Sex, Schooling and Technology’. His is a column that I would read from time to time when I buy the Sunday Chronicle and while I enjoyed some others in the past, others I didn’t agree so much with, or maybe they didn’t agree with me.
However, the article in yesterday’s edition was an excellent one and I would like to congratulate the writer on tackling this topic, particularly from the angle he tackled it from.
I am a parent as well and I know that the quick reaction is to condemn children whenever you hear this or that scandal; but we adults have to think back honestly on how we used to behave when we were at that “raging hormones” age, as my mother used to call it.
The frightening thing, like Mr. Burrowes pointed out, is that society is so different now with the technology, and what teenagers would think is a harmless prank got repercussions far down the road that they can’t even imagine.
I can tell you, after reading that article , I sat my children down – including my daughter who is in her twenties – and make sure I had a good, long talk with them.  To Mr. Burrowes, ‘thanks Skipper’ for a good, solid article and I look forward to what you have to say next Sunday.
