THE mother of 14, who succumbed after being bitten by a venomous snake in her outdoor bathroom on Monday, will be laid to rest tomorrow. Kushmattie Sukdeo, 42, of Lot 60 Kersaint Park, La Bonne Intention (LBI), East Coast Demerara, died at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where she went to seek medical attention.
Her relatives said a post mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of multiple complications, which include the snake bite, asthma and a heart attack.
They also told the Guyana Chronicle that her six smaller children would be taken care of by their father, who is a fisherman.
After the funeral he would move them to his mother’s home where they will stay while he is at sea.
The relatives said they would welcome any pubic assistance for the siblings, the youngest of whom is two-years-old.
