WHEN I read Sunday Kaieteur News headline, ‘Third term allegation, Jagdeo challenges Corbin to identify legal advisers,’ I said to myself, President Jagdeo should have done this a long time ago to Corbin who does not want to give up the position of Opposition leader by rigging his party’s congress election for leader of the party. President Jagdeo has said many times in the media that he is not interested in the third term. I do not know if the media gave the public false information.
He even advised village leaders that the law says they can only serve two terms, as Village Toshaos, when he visited our region.
I would have liked him to be our President again to continue making our lives more comfortable by improving our children’s education, improving our health care, continue training our youths in various disciplines as they can return to their villages to help develop their communities.
I now wish President Jagdeo long life after the end of his term as President to see the continuation of what he started for the wellbeing of all Guyanese.
Doomsayers say he failed, but should he die today, you will hear from the same people how good he was.
Mr. Editor, you can never please everyone, not even the Almighty pleases everyone.
