AN UNIDENTIFIED man was found hanging yesterday from a rope inside a building under construction on Hadfield Street, Werk-en-Rust.
The discovery was made by passersby shortly after midday.
The man, of Indian descent and fully clothed, was eventually cut down by the police, who were summoned to the scene, and his corpse taken away by the Lyken Funeral Parlour.
Residents in the area said the man was unknown to them, and that the first time they laid eyes on him was the very morning when they saw him walking in the street.
They said he even went to a shop nearby where he made a purchase, but that they never saw him again until the alarm was raised.
