JOYLYN Nedd was yesterday remanded to prison on the charge of murdering her reputed husband on Christmas Day.
The accused appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry and particulars of the offence said the December 25 victim was Dennis Braithwaite. Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the accused and Braithwaite were drinking alcoholic beverages when the latter abused the former and she became annoyed and stabbed him with a knife.
The Prosecutor said the wounded man was pronounced dead on arrival at Suddie Hospital
The case was transferred to Ann Regina Court, also on Essequibo Coast, for January 4.
