LILAMATIE Chan, 57, has been charged with simple larceny.
The defendant (no address given) pleaded not guilty to the charge when she appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday.
It is alleged that Chan, on December 16, stole US$1,900 from Bibi Shalik.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said Chan is known to Shalik into whose home she went, without permission, after the keys to the house were left with her brother.
Chan was granted $75,000 bail until January 13.
