His Excellency President Bharrat Jagdeo yesterday sent a congratulatory message to the Honourable Ralph Gonsalves, re-elected Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Following is the full text of the President’s message to PM Gonsalves:

On behalf of the Government and the people of Guyana, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend warm congratulations to you and to the Unity Labour Party on your success at the General Elections held on December 13, 2010.

Your re-election as Prime Minister demonstrates the trust and confidence of the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in your ability to lead their country on the path to prosperity. I look forward to our continued collaboration in furtherance of the interest of our two countries and the people of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
