WILD dogs are on the attack in the village of Golden Fleece, Essequibo Coast.
It was reported that the very aggressive and dangerous pack are killing and eating livestock at night time.
One herder, Sham Narine told the Guyana Chronicle he has lost $1M worth already.
He rears a special breed of ‘Black Belly’ sheep and the animals living in the bushy backlands have killed and eaten 18, including two big rams.
A frustrated Narine said he made reports to Suddie Police, also on Essequibo Coast but no action was taken to address his and other villagers’ continuing loss.
He is appealing to the authorities to have the dogs hunted and killed.
