THE offer, by the Mayor and City Council (M&CC), of amnesty on all interest on general rates will expire in ten days time.
A reminding press release from City Hall said all systems have been put in place to reduce waiting time at the Municipal Treasury and many home owners have had the benefit of waivers of large amounts that had accrued on their taxes for years.
The release said the Municipality is encouraging citizens who cannot meet their payment demands to visit the City Treasury and propose special payment plans.
According to the release, the Municipality needs every cent due to it to provide core services and facilities to ensure the safety and well-being of Georgetown.
