A post mortem on the body of People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) Member, Winston Murray, is expected to be performed today by pathologist Mr. Nehaul Singh, in keeping with the wishes of his family.
Director of Medical Services of the Georgetown Public Hospital , Dr. Madan Rambarran, confirmed this and added that Murray’s wife, Mrs. Marva Murray, made the request.
Meanwhile, according to Russell Lancaster, who is managing public relations for the Murray family, the funeral arrangements are being finalized.
Up to late last night a meeting was held to work out the details of the funeral.
The Guyana Chronicle understands that Murray’s body is expected to be at the St. George’s Cathedral in the city for a funeral service Monday next at 14:00hrs.
He is expected to be laid to rest the following day at Leguan in Region Three (Essequibo Islands/ West Demerara), where he was born.
