Essequibo businessman announces $80M investment to facilitate imports

– Plans to construct wharf, storage bond to make use of deep water channel for importing hardware, crushed stone and cement

BUSINESSMAN Basdeo Man-Man, of Bush Lot, Essequibo Coast has announced an $80M investment on a project at Airy Hall. Chairman of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh visited the construction site last Thursday, after the investor said he was encouraged by the stable economic climate locally and has confidence in the Government.
Mr. Man-Man said he is constructing a wharf and a large storage bond to make use of the deep water channel for importing hardware, crushed stone and cement. 
He said he has his own machinery doing the work and, currently, employs 40 persons.
According to Man-Man, his, is part of the massive development taking place across Essequibo Coast and is evidence of the close partnership between the Government and the Private Sector.
