Giftland OfficeMax join forces with Next Level for Inter-Corporation domino tourney

GIFTLAND OfficeMax joined forces with Next Level Domino Club in sponsoring its Inter-corporation domino tournament which is set for the National Gymnasium today and tomorrow.
Organiser of the tournament Lyall Gittens informed Chronicle Sport that companies such as Banks DIH, Ansa McAl, Western Union, Sterling Products Limited, Bank of Guyana, Ministry of Works, Mayor and City Council (Georgetown) and Courts (Guyana) Incorporated just to name a few have signalled their intentions to compete in the tournament.

Gittens recently received three trophies and an undisclosed sum of cash from Giftland OfficeMax for the tournament, with the trophies going towards the Most Valuable Player (MVP), runner-up team and the player who shares the first double love.
Registration fee is $9 000 per team, of which $3 000 would be given to a charitable home and $2 000 towards refreshments for the respective team.
Double-six time for today’s action, which carries a first prize of $80 000 and a trophy, will be 18:00 h and 13:30 h tomorrow.
The second-, third- and fourth-place teams will pocket $50 000, $30 000 and $10 000 each along with trophies, while, apart from the trophy donated by Giftland OfficeMax, the tournament’s MVP will receive $3 000 and be allowed a free two-week workout at Curtis Gym.
The person who shares the first double love will also receive $3 000 and the trophy, compliments of Giftland OfficeMax, while the player who shares the first love in the final will be treated to three days free lunch, courtesy of the Guinness Bar on Joseph Pollydore Street.
