INMATES of the New Opportunity Corps (NOC) at Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast, now have access to Information Technology (IT).
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds and a high level delegation visited the institution last Saturday and inspected the computer room in the main administrative building.
Acting Centre Administrator, Mr. Ayodele Ohutunde told the Prime Minister that the NOC is now offering IT training, following the acquisition of 14 computers donated by the National AIDS Programme Secretariat (NAPS).
Ohutunde said United States (U.S.) Peace Corps volunteers are currently helping to  train the users of the computers. Mr. Hinds indicated that it is a very good programme.
The Prime Minister also ventured into the kitchen and spoke with the cooks and their helpers, after he inspected a plot of land where different crops are being cultivated.
