Linden teen rescued after kidnapping still hospitalised

As Police investigation continues…
ALICIA McAllister, the 16-year-old rescued Block 22 Wisroc kidnap victim, was a patient at Linden Hospital Complex up to press time yesterday.
She had been found Sunday, bound hands and feet, on the Wisroc road, following a massive search for her and was first taken to Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) for medical attention, before being transferred to the Upper Demerara River health institution about 03:00 hrs yesterday morning.

Relatives said she is very traumatised and shaken by the ordeal but has since related what transpired to the Police.
Reports said she was forced into a mini-bus with several men who took her to a building in which were two other teenage girls.
The relatives told the Guyana Chronicle, via telephone, that Alicia said the men, who numbered more than five, were masked with only their eyes visible.
She said they went to dispose of the lifeless body of a young girl who appeared to be dead, leaving another who called herself ‘Precious’.
Alicia related that Precious informed her that she hails from East Coast Demerara but had journeyed to Linden to surprise her boyfriend, who lives at Wisroc and was unaware she was being held against her will.
Alicia also narrated to Police that, after she was pushed into the min-bus, her abductors drugged her and she remains disoriented.
Her condition is being monitored and her parents are with her.
Meanwhile, Commander of ‘E&F’ Division, which includes Upper Demerara River, Assistant Commissioner David Ramnarine disclosed that the teenager continues to receive treatment in Linden.
“She has given the Police a statement on the incident and, whatever she is saying, we have some work to do to corroborate her story,” he elaborated, noting that their investigation is continuing.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF), in a Sunday night release, confirmed that Alicia was found alive within her residence community.
That was after ranks in E&F Police Division, the Joint Services and members of the community mounted the search for her, following the report of her being missing about 20:00 h on Saturday, October 23.

The release said it was ascertained, from her brother to whom she sent a text message, that she was walking on her way from church when she was abducted, after leaving  Wisroc Revival Centre en route to an Internet café.
Another female resident of the mining town also revealed that she, too, was approached, around 15:00 h on Saturday, by six men in a yellow and white mini-bus who enquired whether she wanted transport.
She became suspicious as they were very insistent that she board the vehicle but they sped away after she refused their offer.
