16-yr-old turns up after hundreds search all day

…says abductors put her off in Blueberry Hill area
SIXTEEN year old Alicia Mc Allister who went missing Saturday evening after leaving the WISROC Revival Center was found around 19:00hrs last evening and was admitted to the McKenzie Hospital in Linden for examination.

Ranks at the McKenzie Police Station confirmed that the young woman had been recovered in the vicinity of Blueberry Hill.

A massive search was launched after the teenager disappeared and a large contingent of police and residents joined forces to comb the desolate and uninhabited area between Wisroc and Rockstone on Sunday.

According to a close relative of the teen, instead of heading home after leaving the church, Mc Allister was on her way to a nearby internet café around 20:00 hours when the incident occurred.

Initial reports suggest that Mc Allister was snatched and pushed into a yellow and white minibus on Saturday night, while on her way home; unconfirmed reports also suggested that there was a second victim, but up to last night Divisional Police Commander David Ramnarine refuted this.

As the search was mounted and ranks from Georgetown were deployed to the Region to aid in the efforts to recover the teen, sources indicate that Mc Allister was in contact with relatives during her abduction.
As a result early Sunday evening the teen contacted her parents and informed them that her abductors had set her free.

Meanwhile, another female resident of the mining town informed this newspaper that she was approached around 15:00 hours on Saturday afternoon by six men in a yellow and white minibus who inquired if she wanted a lift.
She indicated that she became suspicious since they were very insistent that she board the vehicle. After refusing their request, they sped off.

Community spirit was evident all day yesterday as hundreds of residents split into groups and, led by policemen, scoured the surrounding areas for hours for any signs of young Alicia Mc Allister.
