TWO larceny defendants were both granted bail when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday. One of them, Trevor Anthony Halley, who faced a simple larceny charge, pleaded not guilty to having, on October 7, stolen a cellular phone, valued $70,000, property of Annalisa Austin.
He was ordered to lodge $60,000 and the case was transferred to another Court for December 7.
The other defendant, Tito Prescott (no address given either) was charged with larceny from the person and he, too, pleaded not guilty.
The allegation against him is that, on October 18, he stole a $20,000 gold band from Savi Devika Jagroop.
His surety was set at $40,000 and that case was transferred to another Court, also for December 7.
