THE reputed husband of 40-year-old Nandranie Narine, who was found dead in her home last Friday, has been charged with her murder. Suresh Persaud appeared before Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty, at Anna Regina Court, on Essequibo Coast, yesterday morning and was remanded to prison until December 14.
The victim was discovered about 15:30 h on her bedroom floor with marks of violence on her face and other parts of the body.
Blood was also oozing from her mouth and noise when her son, Talesh Narine made the discovery of his mother, clad in a red dress with no underwear.
The woman had three sons and the accused, 28, is their stepfather.
