Resist outside pressure to abolish death penalty

I agree with the Chronicle Editorial that we needed an enlightened Death Penalty Law.  However, I would have like to see it a little more specific.  The amendment should have specified that any killing of a member of the Disciplinary Services or Justice System, while carrying out their duties or death of a person(s) in the commission of a crime or deliberately with fore thought should face a mandatory death penalty. This would cover others in the Prison, Fire Personnel, and Judicial systems, as well as civilians, whose life is just as valuable as Judges and Policemen.

We must resist outside pressure to do away with the death penalty, to pacify foreign countries and NGOs. Why should we spend money housing criminals who have committed horrible crimes, instead of on needy people?  We need to identify killing in three or four murder categories, with death for those described above.
