THE body found with a gunshot wound to the back of the head has been identified as that of Devon Simpson, 34, a porter of Lot 40 Old Kara Kara, Mackenzie Linden. Police said the corpse was discovered about 06:00 h in a canal separating Meadow Brook from Sophia in Georgetown, on Tuesday, October 12.
Police also reported they are following leads that his homicide may be connected to that of Linden McPherson whose remains, with a single gunshot wound, were removed from Ituni Road, Linden, on Monday October 04.
It is suspected that McPherson was involved in the planting of cannabis (marijuana) before he met his demise, the Police report said.
Simpson was last seen alive between 05:00 h and 06:00 h on Sunday, October 10, at his home and his positive identification was made by his brother on Thursday.
