YOUR “Unspeakable brutality” editorial, though welcome must be followed aggressively with attempts to get answers and give support for an inquiry, and not just written feel good words. I have been a pest for the Chronicle in asking for more editorials dealing with subjects that need to be addressed.
Your editorial on the failings of (un)civil servants, was another needed editorial. Poor contractual work, mindless vandalism, bribe taking and giving, local government failures to maintain infrastructure, after large public expenditure along with a host of other things need to be exposed, investigated and remedied. As journalists, you owe this to yourself and the public who you ultimately serve.
