Hunte’s passing has left a void in the cricketing fraternity-GCA

THE executives and members of the  Georgetown Cricket Association(GCA) is the latest  to join the other Cricket Associations in Guyana in expressing  heartfelt condolences to the family,relatives and friends of the late former first division cricketer  and  administrator,Lennox Hunte. `Huntie’ as he was familiarly called,was involved in the game of cricket in Georgetown  for over five decades,as a player,a selector and a liason officer.
He was a dedicated cricketer to his club,the D.C.C and as a selector,he was never afraid to defend his selections whenever it became necessary
`’Huntie’ also had a humorous  side of his .Those who were associated with him,will always remember the stories he told about playing cricket with the late Fred Wills and others at D.C.C.
With his death Lennox Hunte has left a void in the cricketing fraternity in Georgetown that will be  difficult to fill.
