Cyclist dies at GPH after Essequibo accident

A FIFTY-YEAR-OLD farmer, of Windsor Castle, died at Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) on Monday, following a Saturday night road accident. Mohan Lall was riding a bicycle on Windsor Castle Public Road about 21:00 h when he collided with a lorry driven by Bharrat Persaud of Hampton Court.
The cyclist was rushed to Suddie Hospital, also on Essequibo Coast, in a critical condition and, subsequently, transferred to the GPH.
The lorry driver is in Police custody, assisting with investigations.
