Government is paving the outer area of the Providence Stadium to the tune of $101 million, according to project engineer Walter Willis. Speaking to the Guyana Chronicle yesterday, Willis said that it was never the intention that the area be paved in time for the 2007 Cricketing World Cup. The area is frequently used for dancehall, chutney and soca shows and other cultural activities. In photo the area is being prepared for paving.
