FORTY-SIX-YEAR-OLD Seaton Daphness, of Middle Street, Mc Doom, East Bank Demerara, was killed in a road accident in the village on Monday.
He was hit by a motor pick-up and Police said his death has taken the number of road fatalities to 78 from 75 accidents.
Daphness was a pedestrian on Agricola Public Road, Greater Georgetown, about 23:00 h when GKK 4960 struck him as he was attempting to cross the eastern carriageway, from West to East.
Police said the driver of the vehicle involved is in custody assisting with investigations.
