Jailed for 18 months for unlawful wounding

DWAYNE Henry was yesterday sentenced to 18 months in prison when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton charged with unlawful wounding. Henry (no address given), pleaded guilty to the charge which said on August 8 he unlawfully wounded Keion Hinds.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said about 11:40 hrs that day, Hinds confronted the defendant on Cornhill Street in the city and demanded that he pay him money owed to him. The defendant subsequently became annoyed, went into his bag, took out a cutlass, and lashed out at Hinds with it to his head. Hinds received injuries to his left hand, Telford said.
