Amerindian Hostel burglary defendant on bail

FORTY-FOUR-YEAR-OLD Francis Steele (no address given) appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday, charged with break and enter and larceny at the Amerindian Hostel on Princes Street in Georgetown.
It was alleged that, on July 10, he broke into the building through a window and stole 26 pairs of short pants and three bottles of cooking oil, valued a total of $76,000.
Steele pleaded not guilty and was put on $70,000 bail until July 30.
